We were lucky enough to be able to join Sydney’s first ever vegan bus tour organised by Zarah at Veg Travel Guide. Joining this tour meant that we were able to visit places of interest to vegans and to eat delicious vegan food, such as Funky Pies and exquisite sushi. In a single day we were able to learn about Sydney’s history, walk around Circular Quay, visit the popular and beautiful Bondi Beach, listen to a talk by volunteers from Sydney Wildlife on how they rehabilitate injured wild animals and to meet some of their charges, try a range of speciality chocolates and look around Sydney’s Cruelty Free shop and to dine in one of Sydney’s newest vegan restaurants, Golden Lotus.

And by joining a tour for vegans we were able to meet people with similar values from many different countries. Zarah was an awesome host and we thoroughly enjoyed the day. We would highly recommend any tours she organises.

Thank you so much for putting together a fun and well thought out vegan bus tour. It was wonderful to explore Sydney with like minded people. You even catered very well for my food intolerances which made my day a lot easier. You maintained a professional and calm manner even when plans had to change due to bus problems.

Despite the change to plans. In one day we still got to explore the harbour and the rocks including the museum, eat Funky pies at Bondi Beach, get up and personal with rescued wide life which as an animal loving vegan was a lovely experience. After all it’s because of the animals that I’m vegan. So having the opportunity to meet some rescue animals was a nice touch. Usually such programs would be run by profit organisations such as Zoos. So rescue animals with a non profit group was a nice addition to my day. We also got to shop at the cruelty free shop and eat a yummy dinner in Newtown. A Jam packed day full of variety and something for every one. Well done Zarah on a very successful vegan bus tour.

Great tour; nothing like what I expected. Enjoyed the variety, quick Rocks museum visit, Bondi Beach lunch was superb - Funky pies / sushi were great! Trip to Narrabeen Lake and wildlife centre a real surprise. Impressed with the generosity /care of the volunteers there. Thanks for all your efforts / organisation, Zarah!
